One thing about weddings?
They require a different level of emotional intelligence.
As an MC who hosts both corporate and social events, I can confidently say weddings demand so much more than just holding a microphone. You’re working with people’s emotions, energy, expectations, friendships, family dynamics, and once-in-a-lifetime moments… all in real time.
My job is never just to “anchor” the event.
It’s to create an experience.
I pay close attention to my couples, their friends, their guests, and the overall atmosphere because once the couple is genuinely happy and relaxed, everything else flows beautifully.
So sometimes, I’m hyping the room.
Sometimes, I’m calming nerves.
Sometimes, I’m performing.
Sometimes, I’m simply reading the room and knowing exactly what moment needs.
And honestly? That’s the part I love the most.
