Halloween Display 2025 🎃👻 The decorations are still miraculously standing after 2 named storms and constant gusts and rain for the last 3 weeks. Typical after one of the driest years we can remember.. but hey! Unfortunately a couple of the beasts aren’t working as they should due to the weather damage, so we can only apologise if you are popping over to see them this week. But for those that have swung by, shared some lovely words of support, thank you! There must be thousands of pictures and videos, and that’s what we do it for! Mam Tor, Cave dale and Castleton circular (Derbyshire). Lovely walk through Cave dale. Castleton we would go back and spend more time lovely village lots going on and wow 😮 some very interesting characters 🎃 @theoldbarncastleton . The final part of the walk up to the ridge approaching Mam Tor was very crowded with what felt like bus loads of walkers however the views over Hope valley even on a cloudy October day were beautiful. Watch out for parking. The national trust car park was full we parked alongside the road and got a ticket as did many others. Planned to stay in Buxton at the Palace hotel.
