A full circle moment for me to be recognised by the city I grew up and played in for my contribution to London football.
I was lucky enough to live in an area of London that shaped me as a footballer as well as being able to start my journey in the sport around amazing talents coming out of the same place like Ledley and JLloyd to name but a few. From a young age, that environment only made me want to get better.
Going on to represent three London clubs, including my boyhood team, and winning multiple trophies with them is something I will never take for granted.
Now, in the next phase of my football career as a coach, I’m hoping to nurture and progress the next generation of talent coming out of London and the rest of the country.

We’re proud to announce Ashley Cole as the winner of the Outstanding Contribution Award and can't wait to celebrate your achievements at Exhibition White City in March.
Across an incredible career, Ashley won multiple Premier League titles with Arsenal and Chelsea, made over 500 Premier League appearances and was part of Arsenal’s Invincibles side. He went on to lift the Champions League with Chelsea and earned 107 caps for England across World Cups and European Championships.
Ashley also redefined the left back role, combining elite defending with an attacking presence that changed the game. Since retiring, he has continued to give back, supporting the next generation through his coaching work with England and the player pathway.
Congratulations, Ashley. 👏⚽️
