There are over 16,000 small businesses in our district, from restaurants to grocery shops to the arts! This week, I joined the five multicultural Oakland Chambers of Commerce, local business leaders, and community partners to celebrate the immeasurable contributions of small businesses to the local and state economy. During Small Business Week and beyond I’m committed to making our federal government work equitably so our small businesses can thrive and continue to employ, serve, and give back to our district.

ROOTED IN LEGACY ✨❤️ Yesterday, we had the honor of attending an intimate and inspiring conversation hosted by Mayor Barbara Lee featuring Oscar-nominated actor Delroy Lindo 🎬🌹 What made the evening even more special was the presence of invited youth from our community, who were able to witness firsthand the wisdom, artistry, and lived experiences shared throughout the conversation. Delroy Lindo isn’t just an acclaimed actor, he’s a beloved resident of The Town whose family is deeply rooted in the Oakland community. This was such a special Town experience, and we’re truly grateful we got to be there. Oakland continues to remind us what community, culture, and connection look like. 🤎✨ #thetownexperience #delroylindo #thisisoakland
