A three tier grooved buttercream wedding cake from earlier this year. I had to set up in the corner to avoid it being in direct sunlight behind a glass window, cake was moved later in the day.

Thought I would share this... Some clients may get upset when I say I don't like working with artificial flowers, or when I state I want them provided to me on stems and I'll do the prep work myself. There is a reason for this : hygiene, allergies to name a few.
This is an image from some artificial flowers provided to me recently for a wedding. The Bride (who is lovely) totally not at fault here but rather highlights the SHODDY customer service from a well known preferred wedding venue dresser/decorator that boast celebrity clients.
The artificial flowers provided to me by him had previously been used on/in a wedding cake, handed to me with god knows what on them and he felt this was acceptable. Obviously not checked when returned just boxed and given to the next couple needing to use them. Godly only knows what contamination would have occurred had I just stuck them in the cake as who knows how long that stuff has been on them and let alone what it was.
I thoroughly check everything provided to me. Not to ruin the bride's day I stripped and cleaned/sanitised all items at the venue and placed them in a food safe manor onto the cake. I can only hope the company in question cleans them before handing them over to the next wedding couple again... But I somehow think they won't!
So ladies and gents please be wary of this! There's a reason we ask what we ask...not to be difficult but to prevent this from happening.

A cake with a difference....my lovely bride wanted a cake with fruit and chocolate drip. There are so many cakes out there dripping in fruit and thick chocolate drip, she trusted in me to deliver a cake that had both but remained classy and elegant...I think I managed to achieve this.
I'm a little bit in love with this one as it is different to the usual cakes with flowers. I've certainly had a few cakes this year with fruit and citrus fruits which I adore.
