This 4-day Golden, CO adventure is designed for climbers ready to build confidence both indoors and outdoors. Participants will start in the gym learning top-rope climbing and bouldering fundamentals before heading to Clear Creek Canyon to climb on real rock. ⛰️

This past Tuesday, we celebrated Alice’s final day at the NSCD as she officially stepped into retirement after more than a decade with our team. 💙
While we’re going to miss her more than words can say, we’re so excited for this next adventure ahead and can’t wait to see her enjoy every second of retirement. The impact she’s had on our staff, participants, and community over the years will stay with the NSCD for a long time to come.

Susan has been a dedicated volunteer for over 30 years, and her impact on our community is immeasurable.
Highly recommended by multiple staff members, Susan is consistently described as one of the nicest, sweetest, and most patient volunteers we have ever known. Her calm presence and steady support make a meaningful difference in everything she does.
With years of experience supporting youth and individuals with disabilities, She brings both skill and heart to her volunteer role. She offers families something incredibly valuable: an extra set of caring, attentive eyes and someone who is truly focused on each participant’s safety and well-being.
We are deeply grateful for her and the compassion, consistency, and kindness she brings to our programs year after year. Thank you, Susan, for being such a vital part of our community. 💙

April 28th marks the anniversary of the signing of regulations enforcing Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, a landmark moment that helped break down barriers and expand access for people with disabilities, including in sports and recreation.
We’re proud to join @moveunitedsport in recognizing how adaptive sports create opportunities, build confidence, and bring people together. At the NSCD, we see every day how athletes of all abilities thrive year-round through recreation.

🚲 Golden Bicycle Cruise – Community Ride 🎉
Join us for the Golden Bicycle Cruise, a fun, family-friendly ride through Golden, Colorado! Dress up, decorate your bike, and cruise alongside 100–150 riders of all ages on an easy 9-mile loop through town.
