We've just sadly finished up our tour with our friends from down under, Ensemble Offspring.
We were taken on a wonderful journey of sea and sky, with bird songs near and far and adventures beneath the surface.
Thank you to Ensemble Offspring, your excellent performances were bewitching, constantly keeping us hypnotised by the music.

Our tour with Ensemble Offspring starts tomorrow in Edinburgh, with a jam packed programme of song birds near and far, with new works from Matthew // @mwhitesidecomp , Seyoung Oh // @seyoungoh_composer and Alice Cooper all being premiered.
Here’s another sneak peak of our programme, with Robert Davidson’s Bird Riffs (Magpie, Raven, Kookaburra).
Bird Riffs gets musicians to play along with three birds: magpie, kookaburra and Australian raven. The musicians carefully adapt to the recorded melodies of the calls of the birds.

Lean in and listen to…Mugala (Clouds), by composer, Brenda Gifford
Mungala is the word for clouds in composer Brenda Gifford’s Yuin country, the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. The music evokes the experience of watching the clouds build across the sea from a clifftop at Wreck Bay. The clouds dance across the sky bringing thunder and then the relief of gentle rain.
