@strada.easel Bitter sweet that my Strada easel broke on the last day of summer yesterday. We had 11 years together chasing the sun. Traveled so many miles across the globe while painting well over 1,000+ paintings with you.
I've been chased by bears with this easel, captured endless sunsets from Mexico to Alaska, been eaten alive by bugs in Yosemite, shot at in the city and countryside, tear gassed by the police during civil unrest, taken psychedelic mushrooms with Natives in the Southwest, and even dropped you down a cliff in the Grand Canyon. Love you to the moon. Time for round 2.
I am still processing the trip of a lifetime. Finally getting to explore and paint throughout Europe and the UK has been a dream come true. This reel is just the painting side of the trip, not seen is the adventures with my love @bartenderbriefs and the coming together of my most favorite people from Portland, you know who you are, as we reunited in the UK at the end of all our travels to celebrate the wedding of the most loving couple @missamandaroom3 and her husband Iain in the English countryside. ❤️

The fall season brings a feast of golden leaves and sparkles to my eyes that beg to be painted. I finally varnished this 24x36 oil painting tonight so I can display it at this week's @firstthursdayportland
With my larger oil paintings, I always proudly display them in my home for 1 to 2 years before listing them for sale. That way I can enjoy my work before finding its forever home. ♥️

A perfect late morning to paint the trees up on Mount Tabor before it hits 90 degrees today. I have painted thos same view in every season and love the range of greens this time of year. So stoked on the textures with this one. Gonna touch it up in the studio and have it framed and on display for the upcoming @firstthursdayportland May 7th, 5-9pm

Another perfect day of painting adventures. My first camping trip of the season and couldn't be happier. Painted from 6am until 7pm, four vastly different locations, four new plein air paintings made today.

Left the city early this morning to paint in the Columbia River Gorge and camp along the Deschutes River. Serious winds today, lots of painting, met up with @jordankwalkerart to paint magical rocky cliffs and fierce winds.
What an amazing weeks getting to paint the tulips in bloom @woodenshoefarm
Needless to say, I am now addicted to painting flowers and can't wait to be an official vendor their next year and sell you all my prints and original oil paintings of tulips!
Anyway, I would write more but I need to go paint!
