He was shot and hit by grenades while serving in Gaza. He smiled when they put the tourniquet on because he said he completed his mission.
Then the real war began, surgery after surgery, setback after setback, and a choice he had to make every single morning in that hospital bed.
Tamir’s story isn’t just about war. It’s about what it means to be human, to choose life, and to find your next mission when the last one ends.
5 boroughs. 1 ride. Grateful to roll through NYC with this incredible crew. Proving that nothing can hold you back. 💥

Meet Orit 💙🧡
“Some days, I wanted to stay in bed and cry, but I pushed myself forward. During the hard moments, I reminded myself: If G-d gave me this challenge, there must be a reason why.”

This amazing community has restored my faith and belief that I can belong , be loved , supported and seen . They have empowered me to set new goals and reach what I imagined would be unreachable ever again as an amputee .
Thank you to @thenextstepus@farhiofficial@ghaft@_laurenhaberman@lanikollander

Today didn’t start as planned - I could’ve thrown in the towel (no pun intended 🤮) or show up and give it what I had.
Right when I was doubting myself, Hashem sent me a gift: my trainer (also a marathon runner) was given a last-minute bib and joined me. We knew it wouldn’t be our strongest day, so we just focused on doing the best we could for not only ourselves but an incredible cause we were running to support. (@jay_e ❣️)
Slower pace, lots more walking - but one foot in front of the other, reminding myself who and what I’m running for. Running is just as mental as it is physical… and today proved that!
So grateful for a body that moves and got me to the finish line—even after losing basically every electrolyte I had.
150+ runners showed up for Israeli amputees 💙 @thenextstepus
$3,072 raised — team total $246,339
May or may not be my new hobby 🏃🏻♀️ see you at the next race ✨
