Riso printing 101! Have you ever wondered how I lay out the prints? It's a bit of design work, some trial and error, and a lot of running one piece of paper through the machine over and over.
This is how I do it for Mook, layer by layer, one color at a time. From picking the color to scanning the pages in, this is a quick guide to how I make the prints happen. This is super loose and if you ever want more information please reach out, I'm dying to talk to people about Risograph printing all of the time.

It's here!!! Bumper sticker show day with @prettygoodneighbors and I'm so excited to be part of such a talented group of people. Now that I'm 30 I can confirm that bird watching is a new found hobby of mine and it brings me so much joy. I think there is so much to be said that in a time of political turmoil and endless content being pushed onto you it's so important to get out and touch grass. Or at the very least talk to a real person and make connections. The world is such a small place and we all need to be there for each other.
Okay rant over, if you want this print, I only made like 30 of them and they're for sale at @arsagascoffeeroasters on Church and Center. Y'all are amazing ❤️
I'm trying something new with the prints I just dropped off for the @prettygoodneighbors bumper sticker show! I love these two so much that I am selling them together in a 2 pack that can only be snagged from @prettygoodneighbors . The show starts April 15th and runs through May 15th at @arsagascoffeeroasters on Church and Center in Fayetteville!! I have one other print and 4 bumper stickers at the show and @june_phart and @westhandco will have their amazing artwork there as well.
Yikes! It's been a ROUGH news cycle, my friend @anniesprints2187 let me print their amazing zine. It's a great reminder to be kind to yourself and others because the world is a huge place that is too big for us to ingest all of the news at once. Annie's collage work is so incredible and I love how collaged art prints on the Riso. Anyway, y'all are amazing and I love you and I hope you feel loved and supported because oof it's a big ol world out there.
WTF y'all how has it been 200 copies?! So I printed these thinking "200 is enough that I won't ever have to make more" but here we are. I sold my 200th copy today.
These started out as a Google survey shared between myself and my friends at the beginning of the pandemic lockdown in 2020 that asked "if you could make up a wrestling move what would it be?". I illustrated half of the results and then put them aside for a couple years until two years ago when I released this zine!
If you've bought a copy, thank you so so much. Y'all let me know that it's okay to lean into making silly art and that my illustration style is something that people want to see. To say that this little book changed my life is probably an overstatement but it has had a major impact on how I view myself and my art. It's crazy how much a silly little book can matter to someone but it really makes me feel so fulfilled that 200 of these have found homes ❤️
If you hate driving in traffic, at least hate it while having a cool bumper sticker!
I'm super excited for the upcoming bumper sticker show @arsagascoffeeroasters on Church put on by my good friend @prettygoodneighbors
So if you're yearning for one of these stickers they're going to be at the show first!! So pop by and grab one starting April 15th! If none of these stickers are for you @june_phart and @westhandco will have some more incredible options!!!
You should be making zines! If you don't know how, don't worry, I got you. I just dropped a new free mini zine guide on my website in the resources tab. All you have to do is print it out and fold it up.
Make zines about whatever you want, people, politics, your morning breakfast habits, literally whatever you want. I love zines as accessible media and they're so easy to distribute. Big changes start small!
What grows after? My print frames this question as something we need to be asking ourselves constantly as we make "progress". I think it's so often that we build and proceed blindly forward with no plan for what comes after us. I'm exceedingly reminded of this as Northwest Arkansas grows at rates faster than we can sustain.
"What Grows After" was created and submitted for the inaugural issue of @dandy_mag_ under the theme of decomposition and recomposition.
This print is available on my online shop via the link in my bio!
Live through it. That’s all we can do. (and build community and make art) ✨
