“Working out with you is my sanity” were the exact words one of my fav mamas said to me today, 42 min into our 45 min workout. We were on Zoom and she had been through it. First time mom to a 5 month old, she had just gone back to work in a high-pressure male-dominated field, only to experience some disappointing news and realize that she had to find a new nanny to care for her child. Mid afternoon reset, one exhale at a time. On my last trip to @miravalberkshires , I had the most incredible Thai Breath and Body work session. I went into it and told my practitioner that “I had no feelings and I didn’t breathe.” He quickly flipped my entire being upside down. I know I always talk about “taking a big deep breath in,” in fact that’s how I start every one of my workouts, but I found out that focusing on a deep and powerful exhale not only grounds me, but energizes me and helps me to get recentered. #mindfulmothering #mommoments
