Welcome to Interac Village at the Elevate Festival, where creativity met community and every tap told a story. 🇨🇦💛 We transformed the idea of “shopping local” into an immersive world, a modern main street brought to life with interactive facades, RFID tap moments, and a women-owned bakery serving up the sweetest reward. Every detail was designed to make guests feel the real impact of tapping Canadian, from their morning coffee to that must-have T-shirt, helping circulate $438K back into the Canadian economy. When creativity connects with purpose, every tap makes a difference. A special shoutout to Wild Blue Bakery for the delicious finish, proof that supporting local has never tasted this good. Today, we observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We pause to reflect, learn, and acknowledge the ongoing journey of reconciliation. Our Director of People + Culture, Krista Campbell, third-generation First Nations, reminds us that one of the most meaningful ways to support this day is by creating space for reflection and learning. This can look like adjusting workloads to attend events, opening dialogue in team meetings, or simply leading by example.
