11 years ago this month, I got to meet three of my heroes. The Whispers join Michael Jackson, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Sade and De La Soul in my Top 5 favourite musical artists of all time.
Iâve met De La (autograph post to come) and saw Sade live twice. Regretfully, I never saw my Top 2 favs in person. So, as you can imagine, this interview with three members of @themightywhispers was both a bucket list moment and fanboy experience.
The 2-parter is available on YouTube and naturally, is my favourite interview Iâve ever conducted. When it was all said and done, I kindly asked Walter (RIP), Scotty and Leaveil to autograph just one of the 17 albums by The Whispers that I had brought to the interview.
