“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who FOR THE JOY that was set before him ENDURED the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.“
Been reading the book of Hebrews over and over in recent time and it more recently dawned,
The intensity of pain Jesus bore
The grave discomfort He endured
The seemingly unending rigour
…but it was all for a season, albeit for a reason
For in due time, He was to birth a new creation
By becoming the first begotten of this kind
Man. Yet, God.

Just one look at my girls and I’m grateful Jesus didn’t give up on His way to the cross
Such a gift pain can be, if appraised with the end in view
What pain are you carrying today?
What immense discomfort?
What shame?
Believe me when I say, you’re just pregnant
And as you yield to process, this season will give way to the next
A beautiful birthing and culmination of all that your Heavenly Father was wroughting in you, for you and through you.
5 weeks today with my girls and I’m grateful for the utter privilege to have you two assigned to my duty post.
May my lord call me faithful when I eventually stand before Him. Amen.
