Bindweed is one of the most frustrating weeds you can get in a garden 🌿😅 It climbs through borders, wraps around plants, and if you ignore it for too long, it quickly takes over 👀 The secret is persistence 🌱Every time you untangle it, pull it back, and remove as much root as possible, you weaken the plant a little more. It’s exactly why you rarely see bindweed thriving in lawns, repeated cutting weakens it over time ✂️ Stay consistent, don’t let it establish, and eventually it becomes far less of a problem 🙌 ⚠️ Just don’t put it in your compost bin unless you want it spreading everywhere later 😅 👇 What’s the worst weed in your garden right now? #gardening

This gardening trick feels completely wrong… but it works EVERY time 👀✂️🌿 The Chelsea Chop is one of the best ways to get:
🌸 More flowers
🌿 Bushier plants
⏳ A longer flowering season And all you have to do is cut part (or all) of the plant back by around a third to a half in late May 👀 The best part?
You don’t waste the cuttings, just stick them in a vase and enjoy them indoors instead 🙌 Once you try the Chelsea Chop, you’ll do it every year 🌱 👇 Have you ever tried the Chelsea Chop before? Plants that can be Chelsea chopped * Achillea * Aster * Campanula * Coreopsis * Echinacea * Helenium * Helianthus * Monarda * Nepeta * Penstemon * Phlox * Rudbeckia * Sedum/Hylotelephium * Veronicastrum

May is one of the MOST important months in the gardening calendar 🌿 Everything is growing fast right now… which means staying on top of a few key jobs can completely change how your garden looks by summer 👀 This is the month for: 🌱 Feeding ✂️ Pruning 🌸 Deadheading 🐌 Pest control 💧 Mulching & watering properly Small jobs now = healthier plants, more flowers, and far less work later 🙌

Most people prune rhododendrons at the WRONG time 👀🌿 And that’s exactly why they don’t flower properly the following year If you want bigger, better blooms next spring, the secret is simple: 👉 Prune straight after flowering Just remove the spent flowers, tidy up leggy growth, and let the plant put all its energy into next year’s buds 🌸 A quick job now can make a massive difference later 🙌

I thought this was going to be a normal gardening trip… it absolutely was not 😅🌿 Over two days I got hands-on with some incredible garden tools, took on ridiculous challenges, met creators from around the world, and helped transform a community space 🙌 One minute we were testing pressure washers and ride-on mowers… the next we were building, planting, pruning, and putting the tools to work properly 🌱 Seeing how much of a difference the right tools can make, both in the garden and for the people using them it was seriously inspiring 👀 Safe to say I came home with plenty of ideas for the garden… and a very long tool wish list 😅

Most people are tying in plants the WRONG way 👀🌿 And the problem is… you might actually be damaging the stem without realising it 😅 As plants start putting on loads of growth right now, tying them in properly makes a huge difference ❌ Don’t tie stems tightly against supports✅ Create a figure of eight instead This keeps the plant secure while giving the stem room to expand naturally 🌱 Simple change… but it can save you a lot of snapped stems later in the season 🙌 👇 Have you been tying plants in like this already?

Don’t throw away last year’s compost… reuse it 👀🌱 Most people bin it and start again, you don’t need to With a quick refresh, you can bring it back to life and use it again this season 🌿 Remove old roots + debris 🌱 Break it up 🪴 Add fresh compost + feed ♻️ Mix and reuse Simple, cheaper, and better for your garden 👇 Be honest… do you reuse compost or start fresh every year? 😅

You don’t need anything fancy to grow more plants 👀🌱 Just a glass of water… and a bit of patience Spring is the perfect time to take cuttings, and this is one of the easiest ways to do it ✂️ Cut below a leaf node 💧 Pop it in water (bright, indirect light) 🌱 Wait for roots, then pot up That’s it free plants Most people either don’t try this… or leave them in water too long Great plants for this include: Mint, Basil, Thyme, Sage, Rosemary, Fuchsia, Geraniums, Busy Lizzie, Coleus, Hydrangea, lavender, Buddleja 👇 Have you ever tried propagating like this?

Stop guessing your soil… this tells you exactly what you’ve got 👀🌱 Most people plant first and figure it out later, that’s why things struggle This simple jar test shows you your soil type in a few hours. And once you know that, everything changes: 🌿 you pick the right plants 💧 you stop over/under watering 🌱 your garden actually starts working It’s one of the easiest things you can do that makes a massive difference 👇 Have you ever tested your soil or just guessed?

Pruning olive trees… most people overthink it 👀🌿 They’re one of the easiest trees to shape once you know this: every cut you make = more growth So if your olive is looking a bit wild or leggy, now’s the time to sort it ✂️ Remove dead, weak or crossing branches 🌿 Think about the shape before you cut just above a bud 📈 Every cut can produce 2–3 new shoots They’re tougher than you think, you can be quite bold with them 👇 Have you pruned your olive tree before or does it feel a bit risky?
