Yesterday was one of those days. A morning walk through one of my favourite parts of London to a rehearsal listening to a voice that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Then home in the afternoon to hear a piano part for a recording which changes the entire way i think about a melody. The blossoms are out, the swifts returning.
Kind words from @dorsetjonw in his new book 'The Tattooed Hills: Journeys to Chalk Figures' out now via @quartobooksuk
Because I'm a vain cat I jumped to this section but I'm looking forward to poring over the whole volume very slowly, at first glance it seems full of marvellous details about the magic and mystery of these magnificent monuments.
Our music gets a mention in a wonderful piece by @dorsetjonw for @guardian today about walking the landscapes of the chalk figures of England.. Jon's book 'The Tattooed Hills: Journeys to Chalk Figures' is out now.
