Here, he delivers his trademark sound with ‘Do The Disco’ - a rapturous cut that features percussion from Grammy Award-winning percussionist Jorge Bezerra and an alt sax replaying of ‘Do It At The Disco’ by Gary’s Gang by Tom Barford with a gracious nod from Nervous and Uni Disc. The taught skins of Bezerra’s drums rattle out of the blocks and get things off to an electrifying start. Pattered into dexterous of polyrhythms, they carry that certain energy that drives a marrow-deep motivation to move while a straight 4/4 kick maintains a solid boom throughout. Jorge Bezerra is a Grammy Award-winning Musician and Percussionist who has worked alongside many great artists throughout his career, notably on Ludovic Navarre’s St Germain project, on stage with the wonderful Melody Gardot and as an integral member of the Joe Zawinul Syndicate that allowed him to share the stage with other greats, such as Herbie Hancock, Bebel Gilberto, Hitonari Tsuji, Cheick Tidiane and Bobby McFerrin. Barford’s sax is steadily filtered in while a bossy bass line walks up and down and the mood begins to bubble.
