Continued Conversations: Everyone Has a Body Image Story. What’s Yours? ❤️
I’ll go first: “My favorite thing about my body today is my brain because it didn’t get the way of me coming out here today and doing this (scary/vulnerable thing)”
I did something this weekend. Go read about it over on Substack and follow along @yourfavoritethingaboutyourbody ◡̈
Shoutout to @haaanzy - the first person who agreed to be filmed for this series, who turned the question around and asked me!
What’s *your* favorite thing about your body?
#whatsyourfavoritethingaboutyourbody
Why am I standing with a 🪧 in the South Bay? Because I’m on a mission to help those in my community view their bodies with more compassion ❤️
We don’t spend enough time speaking kindness to our bodies - these vessels that carry us through our lives. I want to remind us all to voice appreciation for them, because that can be really hard sometimes. Don’t get me wrong. We all have our hard days. Sometimes our bodies betray us. Other times it’s hard to see the good.
The power or my 🪧 is to hopefully start to shift the internal narrative about our bodies- for you, for me, for us all ❤️

In our conversation, we talk:
❤️🔥Representing your body type onstage/screen
❤️🔥Living in your imperfections
❤️🔥Trusting yourself in your artistry
❤️🔥How Kelsey approaches teaching actors
❤️🔥Finding the play and joy in your work
The way Kelsey works with her students to become present in their bodies and accept where they are right here, right now is powerful. She speaks about shifting the body narrative to one of joy and talks about the importance of representing other women who have our similar body types through our art, whether on stage or on screen. Kelsey’s story inspired me, and I hope that her thoughts and offerings inspire you too✨

Brittany is truly an incredible light of a woman. She shared so much wisdom in the 45 minutes that we spoke together, and I’m so grateful to her for joining me in discussing parts of her story she hadn’t spoken about in a while. I’m hopeful that anyone who’s gone through something similar to Brittany hears her words and feels seen and validated in her generous vulnerability. I cannot wait for you to hear our conversation✨

@yourfavoritethingaboutyourbody is changing my life ❤️
This question was something I started exploring in early 2025 in my own life. In exploring work in the body image space, I started to ask myself each day what my favorite thing about my body (on that particular day) was. It was a powerful question that stayed to literally change my brain chemistry. So I decided to bring it into the conversations I was recording for @continuedconvos Substack/podcast series.
I started to ask my guests this question and got an overwhelming response. People were responding so well to it, and multiple people mentioned never having thought about that question before. Which gave me even more reason to continue to ask it and explore its impact.
So I decided to make a sign and take this powerful yet revolutionary question out into my own community to try to get people to view their bodies through a more compassionate lens.
And here we are!
I’ve been out 5 days with my sign so far with no plans to stop anytime soon ◡̈
Follow along my Substack for the full breakdown of my findings each day I go out with my sign, and follow me here and show support with likes/comments on the responses shared in this space.
I genuinely love this work, and I’m so excited to see where this project takes me and how it impacts those in my community and beyond ❤️
