What if your emotions are not something to fight or suppress… but quiet signals inviting you to listen more deeply to yourself? So often we rush past what we feel, trying to stay productive, positive or in control. Yet, emotions carry wisdom when we give them space to be noticed with gentleness and curiosity. So let’s give them some space today, we are going to start by finding a comfortable position, you might want to close the eyes or soften the gaze.  Allowing the body to settle into stillness, bringing the attention to the breath. The natural rhythm moving through, steady and present. How are you feeling in this moment? Not what you think you’re feeling, but what is actually here. You might gently name it to yourself, calm, restless, heavy, light, anxious, content… whatever arises. Can you notice where this emotion rests in the body? The chest, the stomach, the shoulders? See if you can stay with the sensation, without getting caught up in a story around it. Just observing it as a feeling, as a movement of energy. Using the breath to stay connected, each inhale bringing awareness, each exhale creating more space. You are not your emotions, you are the one noticing them, the one allowing them. If the mind drifts, gently returning to the breath, to this moment.  What are you feeling right now… and can you allow it to be there? Stress and anger often arrive quietly at first, a shorter fuse, a racing mind. Tension sitting in your shoulders long after the day has ended. Join me for an upcoming meditation class where we will gently explore stress, frustration and emotional overwhelm through grounding, breath and stillness together. And I’m also excited to share that I am now offering private one to one meditation sessions. A space to slow down, breathe and explore a practice that supports you personally and intentionally. Whether you are completely new to meditation or looking to deepen your practice, these sessions are designed to support calm, awareness and wellbeing in a simple and accessible way. All the details for both the class and private sessions can now be found on the website 🔗 N x

What if feeling better starts with actually letting yourself feel? So often we rush to distract, fix or push feelings away. But sometimes the mind and body are simply asking for a little space. A moment to breathe. To notice what is really there. Join me for this short meditation to pause, soften and gently allow whatever you are feeling to be met with a bit more kindness and attention. You might be surprised what shifts when you stop fighting the moment. What happens when you give yourself permission to feel, instead of rushing past it? N x #meditation #mindfulness #instagood

When was the last time you let yourself feel anger… without judging it? Today we’re exploring how meditation can help us meet our emotions, even the ones we label as ‘negative’, without being overwhelmed. Part of being human is feeling a whole range of emotions, what matters is how we relate to them, and how we allow (or don't allow) them to steer us. Let’s start by finding a comfortable position, you might want to close the eyes or soften the gaze. Allowing the body to become still, noticing where it feels supported. Bring awareness to the breath, feeling each inhale and exhale entering and leaving, a steady and grounding rhythm.  Now gently bringing to mind a feeling of frustration or anger, nothing too big, just something you’ve noticed recently. Where do you feel this in the body? Perhaps in the chest, the stomach, the jaw, hands? Take a moment to really notice the sensations, heat, tightness, pressure. Rather than pushing it away, see if you can stay with it, allowing it to be there, just as it is. Using the breath now as an anchor, something steady to return to if feelings become intense, the breath is there to support you. You might notice the sensation changing slightly as you observe it, moving, softening, or even intensifying. There is nothing to fix or solve here. Just allowing this energy to move through without holding onto it or reacting to it. Taking a few more breaths, giving this feeling space. What might your anger be trying to show you? N x

What if stress isn’t something to fix… but something to listen to? This month we are going to focus on how meditation can help us find calm when we are feeling anxious or overwhelmed.  Let’s start by finding a comfortable position, you might want to close the eyes or soften the gaze. Allowing the body to settle, noticing the surface beneath you, floor/ chair, the body feeling supported. Begin to bring the attention to the breath. Not changing it, just noticing as it moves in and out. Perhaps becoming aware of the gentle rise and fall within. Now slowly scan through the body. Starting at the forehead… the jaw… the neck… noticing if there is any tightness and inviting it to ease. Letting the shoulders drop a fraction, softening through the arms, the hands. Bringing awareness into the chest and stomach. Is there any heaviness, or tension here? There is no need to change it, just noticing what’s present. Stress often lives in these small, subtle places. And as you return to the breath, see if you can gently invite a sense of softening into any areas that feel tight. The legs, the feet. Not forcing anything, just allowing a little more space with each breath. When the mind wanders, that’s completely natural. Just gently guiding the attention back to the next breath, back to the body. Taking a few more moments here, simply noticing, simply being. And when you’re ready, slowly bringing awareness back to the space around you. Where in your body is asking for attention today? N x  #meditation #mindfulness #anxietyrelief #stressrelief #in stagood

Before you scroll on… can you take one breath with me? Right here. Right now. Nothing big, nothing forced. Just noticing something small you’re grateful for. The warmth of your drink. A bit of quiet. The fact you made it through today. We don’t have to wait for everything to be perfect to feel a moment of appreciation. Join me for a short pause to let that land. What is one simple thing you can feel grateful for, right now? N x

How often do you move from one thing to the next without a pause in between? This month we have been focusing on how we can create time for ourselves to reconnect. This week is about creating small, repeatable pauses throughout the day. Not stepping away from life…but gently returning to yourself within it. Let’s start by finding a comfortable position, you may want to close the eyes or soften the gaze. Now take a slow inhale through the nose…and a slow exhale. Keep going, breathing in… and breathing out. Notice the space at the end of each exhale, the tiny pause. Can you rest here for a moment? Let the breath become steady, smooth and calm. Even on the busiest day, there are moments all around us waiting to be noticed. A breath. A pause. A return. Breathing gently now, at home and at ease. When we are intentional this is the practice we can carry forward, not perfect uninterrupted moments, but simply finding space in the everyday.  What might shift if you gave yourself more of these small pauses? What if stillness isn’t something you have to find… but something you can return to? Even in the middle of a busy day, it’s there. Under the noise. Beneath the rush. Join me for a quick meditation to settle the mind, soften the body, and come back to that quieter place within. No pressure. No perfect way to do it. Just a few moments of pausing and breathing. What changes when you give yourself permission to be still? N x
