I met Black Coffee through his music when I was starting out as a commercial photographer and still trying to find my footing. His sound slowed me down and made music feel personal, like it had weight and intention. It changed how I thought about art and nudged me away from just chasing jobs, toward making work that actually meant something to me. Some influences don’t announce themselves, they just settle in and stay. #billboardmagazinecover Client: @billboardafrica Artist: @realblackcoffee MUA: @mirriammachuchamakeup Lighting: @andile.tshaba Photography: @themba_mo

Celebrating the resilience and strength of Queen Nandi played by @nomzamo_m , a remarkable figure in Zulu history. Born in the 18th century, she was more than just a queen; she was a true warrior and a powerful leader. 💪 As the mother of King Shaka Zulu, Queen Nandi played a vital role in shaping the Zulu Empire. Despite facing numerous challenges, she never let adversity break her spirit. Her courage and determination laid the foundation for one of Africa's greatest kingdoms. 🌍 Queen Nandi's unwavering loyalty to her people was legendary. She fought fiercely to protect the Zulu nation, displaying immense bravery in the face of enemies. Her military strategies and wise counsel were instrumental in the success of the Zulu Empire. 🔥 But Queen Nandi's strength extended beyond the battlefield. She was also known for her wisdom, compassion, and commitment to the well-being of her people. Her emphasis on education and cultural preservation left a lasting legacy, ensuring the Zulu traditions thrive even today. #photography #love #magic #grade #lighting #queen #culture #zulu #nation #mother #strength #fyp #bounce #tradition #still #golden

Quiet moments lost in translation We photographed this series at an abandoned mansion in pta east, that is surrounded by a squatter camp. A walking distance from one of the richest suburbs in Gauteng . Exploring the duality of exploitation. 📸 @themba_mo
