Getting here is easy — and there’s plenty to enjoy once you arrive!
Parking:
🚗 There are several nearby car parks, including Mutton Cove, Granby Way, Duke Street and Brickfields.
🚗 On‑street parking is available on Duke Street and surrounding streets — please be considerate of local residents, keeping driveways clear and checking for permit restrictions.
🔌 We also have two electric car charging points at the rear of the building.
Public transport:
🚆 Devonport Station is a 15‑minute walk away. Plymouth Station is slightly further, in the city centre.
🚍 Buses serving the area include 14, 21, 21A, 34, 36, 112 and 806.
The closest bus stop is on Duke Street, with plenty of additional stops on Chapel Street and Cumberland Road, all just a short walk from Market Hall.
Cycling:
🚲 Covered bike storage is available in the courtyard on the Duke Street side of the building.
Food & drink:
☕ Make a day of it with a visit to our Café, serving a selection of lunch options, homemade cakes, hot drinks and soft drinks — perfect before or after your visit.

Our Story with David Attenborough, is a breathtaking Attenborough-led storytelling experience that combines gigantic animations and stunning projections, real-world footage and full 360° immersion.
A 50-minute-long filmic piece presented by Sir David as he draws on his lifetime of exploration to tell this incredible tale of people and planet.
Until now, a version of ‘Our Story’ has only been available at the Natural History Museum in London, where the show has been highly popular with people of all ages. For four months, from the 8th May until 2nd September, audiences will be able to witness the transformative piece in a thrillingly powerful new way outside of the Natural History Museum, exclusively in the UK at Plymouth’s world class Immersive Dome inside Market Hall.

Featuring archive film clips from the South West Film & Television Archive alongside fascinating objects and exhibits kindly lent to us from @theboxplymouth , the exhibition brings together rare materials that show how moving image, sound and storytelling have evolved over time.
The year 1926 marked a turning point — the birth of modern audio‑visual storytelling — and it also happens to be the year Sir David Attenborough was born. One hundred years on, his work represents the power of these technologies at their very best, helping generations to better understand the natural world.
Packed with insight, history and remarkable detail, this exhibition celebrates the tools, techniques and creative breakthroughs that shaped a century of storytelling — and provides the perfect context for Our Story with David Attenborough in the Immersive Dome.

It’s hard to believe that a week has already passed since 8 May, when we proudly welcomed over 150 VIP guests from across the South West to Market Hall to celebrate the launch of Our Story with David Attenborough.
The evening was a truly special moment — marking not only the arrival of this extraordinary immersive experience in our globally significant dome, but also celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday with a room full of people who share a passion for storytelling, creativity and our natural world.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the launch, and helped make the night so memorable. The response since opening has been nothing short of incredible — and we’re just getting started.
