What it was all for. Years of work and planning to get #Callisto into Orion and on the mission. This shot is from #gorpo in the back of the crew cabin as it was over 200,000 miles from Earth. We had several of these around the cabin, but I love seeing this one the most. From here I saw the moon out the window, saw the sun sweep across the cabin as it made the return trip back home.

There were moments where words cannot describe the feelings. In those moments you do feel small—it’s hard not to. Your perspective on life changes when you know your place in the universe.

Today, Orion splashes down back on Earth. It ends this mission, but the cycle starts anew. The people at NASA are some of the hardest working and smartest people I’ve ever met. My team became as close as family for this mission, we shared moments that only make sense to those who were there. The smiles and excitement far outweigh the late night, weekends, and sweat we put into this. To you all…It was truly an honor.
