Someone I’ve known for decades helped me build it to order for someone they’ve known for decades and they went silent when it came time to arrange delivery. It’s gorgeous and I want to be so proud of it but it’s become an albatross. So much time, effort and materials that I expended when I could have been getting myself caught up is a hard kick in the nads. It’s nearly all white oak and it’s constructed 100% from salvaged/curbside/reclaimed/remilled material, not a stick of new lumber in it. All antique brasses and hardware including any visible screws. Beautiful multi layer matte lacquer finish over a vinyl sealer, ready for years of use. It’s built in 7 individual pieces for ease of transport and installation. Hey, all. I’m not sure who needs to hear this but this is a tire valve core removal tool. It’s available for a few bucks at any auto parts store, bike shop, industrial supply warehouse etc.. It removes a valve core within seconds and causes no direct damage. It will quickly leave a vehicle with greatly diminished mobility. Feel free to share this knowledge. Just sayin’..
Hey, all! I want to give a HUGE THANKS to everyone who joined us for our Holiday PopUpShop. We had a great mix of new and returning vendors and wares! Even with the cold and snow this community turned up! What energy! So many hugs! So happy for the neighborhood businesses who stepped in and helped create what became the 2025 Bay View Holiday Celebration in lieu of the absence of Christmas on KK! Thanks to our vendors and visitors cash donations, Kate was able to fill her car with a mountain of foodstuffs and household supplies and deliver them to the Bay View Community Center’s Emergency Food Pantry yesterday. Y’all came through so generously that she can do it again next weekend! Big love, peace and Happy Holidays however you celebrate..

We don’t have a Santa but you’re welcome to take your picture with our Festivus pole!
TOMORROW!!! Lion’s Tooth will be open late to 8PM Friday December 5 to support a neighborhood-wide celebration benefitting the Bay View Community Center and their Emergency Food Pantry. This effort is led by The Magnet Factory and their 9th Holiday Pop-Up Shop which has an incredible lineup of 25+ vendors.

You can start at Scout Gallery and the Milwaukee Makers Market in the Hide House, then come down on KK stopping by Vendetta Coffee Bar, Lion’s Tooth, the main event at the Magnet Factory (which is literally right behind us), then Semolina, URSA, Rush-Mor Records, Cozy Collective and the big finish at Alive and Fine’s Holiday Shindig.
