We are delighted to invite you to the opening reception of our art exhibition featuring Mosako Chalashika.

Born in Gaborone and trained in professional photography in Cape Town, Mosako Chalashika has built a practice rooted in lived experience and community. A skateboarder himself, he has spent years documenting the skateboarding scene across Africa, not as an outsider, but from within. His work captures a culture that has long been underrepresented globally, revealing its creativity, resilience, and raw energy.
Mosako’s work has been featured internationally by platforms such as i-D, GQ, Deutsche Welle, Courier Magazine, Thrasher Magazine, Hypebeast , Highsnobiety and Free Skate Magazine, and has led to collaborations with brands including Carhartt WIP, Vans, Jordan, Nike & FTC and New Balance. Audiences will now have the chance to view it for 3 weeks at the Alliance Française de Gaborone.
This is an invitation to experience these stories firsthand, to engage with work that documents uncharted territories through the lens of those who live them. The exhibition will be on view for three weeks until Tuesday 10 March 2026.
