Our ceramic 3D printing process starts with mixing clay until it reaches the right viscosity. We use a mixer to speed things up, but still finish by hand to remove any trapped air.
Next, we form dense clay balls to fill the printer tankāthis helps avoid air pockets during printing.
Then comes the fun part: printing!
(No photos of drying and firing this time.)
Once the piece is bisque fired, itās time to glaze. This step needs extra careāone small spill on the 3D printed texture and itās tough to clean.
Now we wait for the final product. Canāt wait to see how it turns out!
