There’s a lot of reasons I keep going back to Budapest, and here are a few: - probably my favorite thrifting city. So much so that I will always bring an extra bag to check on my way back. My favorite shop has never not had a discount when I’m there, including when everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) was 5€ - I’ve gotten to eat at a few spots in Budapest and they have some bomb a$$ food! From traditional, Hungarian food to everything else - you will not leave this city hungry. And make sure to try a Hungarian chimney cake while you’re there - Budapest is so beautiful to me! The way each side of the river has its own aesthetic and backdrop making it so good for photos on either side. Your camera will be full after a trip here - I love coffee and Budapest knows a thing or two! Pass this on to a solo traveling friend 🥰 - bring a physical souvenir back for yourself - buy a portable tripod - opt for social hostels - no drinking every night - one or two hotel nights to recharge - opt for late night flights so you don’t waste a work day - write your itinerary in a word doc - send your friends your location - carry a cheap, dupe phone - book a cheap flight nearby and then use local carries to get to your final destination - spread cash in different bags - organize your clothes in your hostel locker -pack your bag the night before leaving (before you hit the streets) - take a nap right at sundown to get ready for night adventures - use the first day/night to explore the area around your accommodation - free walking tours - hostel pub crawls to meet people -don’t put your luggage on hostel / hotel beds - bring a lock - bring some cold medicine from home just in case - figure out your route from airport to accommodation before you land - carry a pack of tissues in case there’s no tp - google translate’s speaking feature - offline maps - museums have pretty clean bathrooms - big water bottles at grocery stores to refill small bottles - ask hostel / hotel reception for atm - wiki travel to look out for common scams - cameras are great ways to meet locals (just have common sense) - don’t trust government websites… trust locals - vaccine shots can be cheaper at destination - make scans of important docs 📍 Copenhagen, Denmark 🇩🇰 #traveltipsandtricks #travelhack #travelinspired #travelwithme #bucketlistadventures
