Healing from mental health and substance use issues is not just the absence of symptoms. It is a stable home, meaningful connection, and the tools to move forward. That is the promise of whole-person care. https://www.samhsa.gov/find-support #MHAM2026 #SeeThePerson #WholePersonCare

Sometimes, purpose finds you in unexpected moments. After witnessing a simple act of compassion, Teresa, one of our Volunteer Ambassadors, began searching for a way to give back and found her way to the Los Angeles Mission. Through a prayer walk, she stepped into something new, and the experience stayed with her. It was powerful, emotional, and led to a continued commitment to serve. Today, Teresa shows up regularly, offering not just meals, but presence and care. In seeking purpose, she found it here. Join us and be part of something meaningful. Healing doesn’t happen overnight. Behind every meal, bed, and program is support for mental health and a path toward stability. When someone walks through the doors of the Los Angeles Mission, they are met with care, consistency, and a safe space to begin again. Support here goes beyond immediate needs, creating room for healing, growth, and real change. This work is strengthened through our partnership with Los Angeles Christian Health Center, helping ensure individuals receive the care they need at every step. This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re reminded that meeting people where they are can make all the difference. We walk alongside each person as they rebuild and move forward. Visit the link in our bio to donate and help us continue providing this support. 🙌 #MentalHealthAwareness #LAMission #EndHomelessness

This Easter, volunteers came together on Skid Row to serve meals and spend time with our community, including a few familiar faces! ✨ The day was centered on showing up, working together, and creating a sense of care and connection for our neighbors. Thank you to everyone who gave their time to make it happen. 🤝 Our volunteers and donors are the life of our organization. “Unity in the community… that’s my heartbeat.” Chaplain Keith Newton sets the tone from day one, welcoming new students with purpose, encouragement, and honesty about the journey ahead. Because change isn’t easy. It takes support, structure, and a space where people feel safe enough to grow. That’s what’s being built here every day, an environment where individuals can move forward, be mentored, and step into a new chapter of life. This is what transformation can look like. Be part of it. 💙 #LAMission #LifeChange #EndHomelessness
