After a year and a half on the ground covering the rise of @zohrankmamdani , my work wound up as the cover story for the Queens Gazette last week.
To see a local guy from Astoria turn into a worldwide phenomenon in such a short period of time has been nothing short of fascinating. What a ride itās been! My photographs have been placed in a multitude of publications since Zohran announced he was running to become the next mayor of New York City.
Itās always hard to pick standout moments that I documented. Here are a few I had on file ready to go (along with yours truly at the inauguration and in the borough).
Thank you to everyone who believed in me and the power of photojournalism, and congrats to #zohranmamdani for pulling off what might just be one of the most successful political campaigns that define a generation.
A new era, indeed. Now grab a copy of the newspaper before a new edition hits the stands tomorrow! šļøšø
I survived 2025.
I like to live in the real world and be as present as I can in the moment when Iām out and about, so Iām not really sure what to write here. I post IG stories to remind people that yes, I am still at it and chasing the dream when most have given up a long, long time ago.
I was writing a whole gigantic thing here about how Iāve been feeling over the past 12 months, but then I realized: who really cares. I donāt like what social media has become and what itās actively doing to people. For someone who used to love writing, I currently donāt have much to say on this platform.
I let my visuals tell the stories this year. Thank you to my clients, the agencies, and news organizations who believed in my artistic eye and helped showcase my work to larger audiences. Photography is the only thing that kept me going when all else felt lost.
Looking back at my camera roll, these were the images that helped make me smile even in the darkest of hours. I appreciate everyone who snapped photos of the photographer in this post (those of us in this insane media biz are often the forgotten lot). My brain is fried, but you all know who you are. All of my love (thatās gotta be better than eXpOsUrE, yeah?). Iāll give this a ālil scroll whenever I need a good pick me up. š«¶
I am hoping that ā26 will begin to bring me clarity in whatever shape or form that looks like. As a visual artist, Iām always trying to find the proper light for my lens. Looking ahead, Iād like to find the light for my own eyes, too.
I am hoping that the new year blesses you, dear reader. Thanks for sticking with me. It aināt over ātill itās over and your boy aināt done just yet. I hope to see you on the outside and if I donāt: remember to be good to one another and never assume nothinā. š«” #goodbye2025

WWE knows how to get people talking.
Itās been an insane three days out in NJ. I had my camera on me to document all of the action from SummerSlam weekend.
Itās always hard to narrow down all of the photos I took. I feel the selects featured in this post capture many of the highlights that took place at MetLife Stadium and beyond. A big thanks to all of the WWE Superstars who gave it their all inside of the squared circle to make the magic happen for my camera.
What was your favorite moment from the biggest party of the summer? Get the discussion going in the comments.
Iāll see everybody on the outside again soon. šø

Itās been a bit since I posted on the grid!
I have lots of thoughts that are being typed out in real time, so thank you for following along.
I want to thank everyone who participated in getting me over the finish line to win this yearās @bestoftheboro Photography Studio in Queens. When the victory was announced a few months ago, it legitimately came as a shock to me. I was already quite surprised getting nominated. When the news broke in March, I had a lot of different thoughts spinning in my head. I didnāt do a lot of promotion around it so it was really moving that people took time out of their day to place their belief in me and my abilities. I had a great time on Monday.
I speak with radical honesty, for the better or worse. Itās not everyoneās cup of tea but itās how I operate at the end of the day. Youāll either love me or hate me for it. This was my least favorite year of my life. I know for some that will be upsetting to read, and I know for others I am giving them the biggest holiday present that theyāve been desperately clamoring for. If anyone knows the slightest bit about me, Iāve faced off against unique challenges at different periods throughout my life. When push came to shove, Iāve always managed to overcome the obstacles that appeared (usually) suddenly in my way. This time around, Iāve been in an almost year-long battle with my mind and my overall worth.
The life of an artist is never an easy one. That is not breaking news, and itās a tale as old as time. There are unseen sacrifices that are made along the way unless one is a legacy kiddo. While some dreams come closer to us the longer we stay on the winding road, others seem to be moving awayā¦further and further out of reach. Iāve always had a certain vision for what would ultimately bring me sustainable joy. Itās a difficult pill to swallow when one feels he is entering the next phase of his life and there were elements that were turned upside down.
While some days are harder than others, I get reminded on a constant basis that there is a reason for doing what I do. Iām fortunate enough to meet fascinating people along the way that make life interesting.
On to the next chapter. š«”
A big thank you to everyone who played an important role in helping me earn the title of Best of the Boro.
Award-Winning Photographer has a nice ring to it, yeah? šø
Perhaps Iāll have more to say at another time. For nowā¦be good, and maybe Iāll see ya on the outside.
