Pronouns- they are personal, they are a form of self expression and they are an important part of identity.
What they shouldn’t be - uncomfortable and confrontational. And they stop being that when you can have open conversations, with the right intention- irrespective of your world view, your age, your own preferences etc.
@thekyleburt and I come from two ends of the world- and from very different perspectives- socially and culturally. And, we have opinions- strong ones. If we could have a conversation about this without conflict, everyone can. And everyone should! That’s how we build a community that is aware and respectful.
Watch till the end- and answer the question - “What does your gender mean to you/ what does it feel like?” Think about it- and you will be surprised at how difficult and different it is for each one of us, even those who go by the “societal constructs”. And it will open your mind to the various preferences that can exist.
