Today, I turn 41, and I’m filled with gratitude. Looking back, turning 40 was a true awakening, my life’s lens finally cleared. I began to understand myself, others, and what I’m here to do much better. I found my purpose and let my light shine, freely. I thank my mother for her guidance, and my close circle of friends who are family. As I step into this next year, I’m excited, thankful to God, and ready to continue shining that light. Here’s to 41!
The 2026 International Blues Challenge was truly an unforgettable experience. This event was more than a competition. It was about connection, growth, and being surrounded by a global community that genuinely loves and respects the blues. From powerful performances and late night conversations to learning moments, laughter, and inspiration at every turn, this experience poured into us in ways that are hard to put into words.
The video paired with this post highlights just a glimpse of what we experienced. The sights, the sounds, the people, the stories—all woven into moments we will carry with us. Every photo and clip represents something meaningful: encouragement from fellow artists, shared joy with supporters, and the reminder of why we do this in the first place.

Today, I am grateful for the journey. Whether you’re a friend, supporter, hater, instigator, or even an enemy, “all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord.” That is a scripture I was raised on, and I reflect that in my life. Not everything has been roses, but I am thankful for the journey God has set me on to be a light and an example of where you can come from to where you can get to.
I am also reminded of the scripture that says, “no weapon formed against me shall prosper.”In the industry of life, we face many challenges. Yet, if you stay steadfast and consistent, all things are possible. I am grateful to see the fruits of hard labor in my music career and also in my physical, mental, and emotional journey. I look forward to many great things ahead and a prosperous life. Thank you to everyone, no matter your role, you have made me stronger.
