The wind, the stone, the cold North Sea, all moving the same way they did thousands of years ago in the Orkney Islands.
This is what it feels like to stand somewhere ancient enough to make your own life feel temporary.
It’s been a few years since I’ve been to the Willamette Valley but every time I come back my jaw absolutely hits the floor. Just genuinely the perfect place - good food, good views, good people. I don’t know exactly when I’ll be back, but I know I will be.

When I got pregnant with Ava, we set an intention as a family: to keep spending as much time outside as possible, whatever that might look like.
Turns out, it looks a lot like this—nights under a million stars, Ava covered in dirt, climbing, and soaking up the joy of it all. Van life + toddlers = ALL the fun.
Sure, there are hard moments, but they would find us anywhere and we’d rather meet them out here, under the big open sky.
