𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲! Last summer I started an anti-scroll journal. I was tired of complaining about having no time to journal then realising I had mindlessly scrolled on my phone for too long! The idea was to have a journal and pen conveniently to hand to pick up instead of my phone. I wanted to find pockets of creative time throughout my day as a way to unwind for just a few minutes here and there. I managed to keep it throughout last summer but fell behind in autumn. I realised I had one too many ‘daily’ journals on the go, so for 2026 I replaced my memory journal with a dedicated anti-scroll one. My memories are still there, just noted down throughout the day (often in more detail) than writing in one go of an evening. I am still keeping my 5 year diary for that though. While I have been described as an organised person, there are definitely daily reminders that I do not in fact have all my ducks in a row. As a 43 year old mum of three, I wanted to share a dose of reality as sometimes I can feel like a bit of a fraud here with a planning account! So please remember when you see me share a pretty journal page, it was likely created while I procrastinated on the to-do list or ignored the interruptions to find some creative time for myself! June Theme Idea for your Bullet Journal Last year I chose ‘Fireflies’ for a busy June in my Bullet Journal. I loved the firefly stickers and washi from @archerandolive which was also a time saver! I actually disliked my cover page but didn’t have time to re-do it. I only figured out how much better the page looked using letters cut on coloured paper by my monthly theme. I loved how putting them on washi gave a nice background, almost 3D effect too. I used @zebrapen_uk brush mildliners and a black fineliner to create these loose wildflowers. I stuck to the same 4 simple styles and throughout the month they became quicker and easier to create too. Although I loved how the baking paper looks and kept the page thin it has been tricky to stick.
