I've been having so much fun writing this acoustic bridge section! The chords are a bit challenging, and I'm especially twitchy trying to hold on to the finger picking pattern. I got as close as I'll get to nailing those arpeggios at the end 🤷

Finally had inspiration to sit down and just play for me after months and months of nothing. It feels nice to play for nothing in particular other than to simply enjoy playing...except for those damn mistakes. Noooooo

Oh man, y'all, it's ooening night for @bachelorthemusical and I can't even begin to properly express how grateful I am to be able to type that out. So much time, effort, talent, and endless work has gone into and continues to go into this show and it's INSANE to me that all of these people are doing a show of ours night after night. Like, what? First and foremost, @reeshmeese , thank you so damn much for believing in Tony and I to bring our musical touch to your work, and an even bigger thank you for having the tenacity to see this show through from the small little black box productions all the way to this. ❤️ @lagonzalez1987 ...I probably still owe you some money from something, I'll Venmo you soon. But also, good work. Y'know? Truthfully, how did we get so lucky to be able to create things for a living? 💩❤️ And the CAST and CREW. omg. Every single one of you are absolute treasures and you all have made this one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable experiences of my life. We could not have asked for anyone better to take on the task of learning this entire show.... in TWO WEEKS nonetheless. Absolutely mind-blowing. And all the while you continued to roll with the punches and made the working environment inviting, collaborative, and a dream. What a crazy and exciting ride it has been developing this show with @reeshmeese , @lagonzalez1987 and @tdrucks . Can't believe we are marquee official at The Apollo in Chicago. Thank you to producer and human extraordinaire @jimlanahan for giving us this opportunity. High school Sam is happy.
