Having a few days back ‘home’. Life’s been pretty flat out these several past years and I haven’t really given myself much time to reflect since I moved away and started a new chapter of my life, and then mum’s passing.
It’s a strange feeling coming back to this amazing place where I grew up and spent nearly 50 years of my life. So many memories, most of which are happy and blissful and always will be. I’ve truly been blessed to have lived the life I’ve had and been brought up by two incredible, strong and moral parents, who I think about most days, in a place like this. Along with a wonderful, close family and friends that helped shape who I am along with the area I lived. And I’ll always be proud of our family history here that goes back many generations. Milford on Sea and Keyhaven are beautiful and special places indeed.
I always knew it would take something or someone exceptional for me to leave… I’m happy to say it was the latter and the wonderful @kaydwells came back into my life and made me realise more than ever how thankful I am of a life well spent and how much more there is to look forward to.
So, head down and full steam ahead on getting the most of this all encompassing trip. And as much as we both have plans for the future, fuelled by hope and desire, I’m not going to lose sight of the fact that it makes sense to live in the present tense, make every moment count and be the best version of myself and be true to myself everyday. It’s the minimal requirement in return for what I’ve been given.
