Thank YOU to everyone who joined us last night in Little Italy for the launch of the IACRL Manhattan Chapter. 🇮🇹✨🇺🇸
The energy was incredible and the atmosphere was pure Italian celebration. Hearing our hosts and honorees speak about why the IACRL is so important — while the streets of Mulberry listened alongside us — was truly unforgettable.
Thank you for supporting the IACRL and standing with us as we continue preserving, protecting, and celebrating Italian American heritage, culture, and pride for generations to come.

🚨 HIS DEATH COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED. 🚨
First, a woman was attacked.
The warning signs were there.
The danger was clear.
Yet the man accused was released AGAIN.
Then a 76-year-old senior citizen lost his life after being violently shoved in a NYC subway station.
How many more innocent people have to suffer before this city finally says ENOUGH?
New Yorkers are exhausted. We are angry. We are heartbroken. People should not be terrified to ride the subway, walk the streets, or simply make it home alive.
This was not some unforeseeable tragedy. This was a catastrophic failure of a broken system that continues to prioritize revolving-door policies over public safety.
A woman was allegedly attacked first. That should have been the moment intervention happened. That should have been the moment innocent lives were protected. Instead, the system failed — and now a family is mourning the loss of a father, grandfather, and human being whose life mattered.
His death could have been prevented.
This is not about politics anymore. It is about basic safety, accountability, and protecting innocent people before tragedy happens — not after.
Enough excuses. Enough failed leadership. Enough treating violent repeat offenders like there are no consequences while everyday New Yorkers live in fear.
We need real action. Real intervention. Real accountability.
Because every time this happens, another innocent life pays the price.

The Heart of the Italian American Family🩷
Today, we celebrate the strength, love, sacrifice, and heart of all mothers —
the women who shape families, communities, and generations with endless devotion.
From the mothers raising children, to the women nurturing dreams, supporting loved ones, caring for others, and leading with compassion every single day —
your impact is immeasurable.
At IACRL, we are especially grateful for the incredible mothers within our Italian American community who carry forward traditions, values,
resilience, and love that connect us all.
Happy Mother’s Day to every mom, grandmother, aunt, godmother, pet mom, and mother figure.
Today we honor you, celebrate you, and thank you for all that you do.

It was a delight to welcome author, historian, and filmmaker Don Capria for a presentation of his book, Colombo: The Unsolved Murder, at the IAMLA this past Saturday. Capria’s work explores the life, legacy, and unsolved shooting of Joe Colombo.
It was also a pleasure to have Colombo’s grandson, esteemed attorney Anthony Colombo Jr., in attendance. @italianamericanmuseumofla
