A pattern repeats. A vibration travels. Something begins to return.
Elusive returns this year with two world premieres by @panzetti_ticconi (Italy/Germany) and @art_project_bora (South Korea), created with the dance artists of T.H.E Dance Company. Each work unfolds from a clear line of inquiry, tracing how the body holds memory, sensation, and time.
In ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, patterns inspired by the mechanics of the music box gather force as cycles begin to slip and destabilise.
In ๐:๐ณ๐ฐ, mourning moves through the body as vibrationโfelt, heard, and carried.
Presented as part of contยทact Dance Festival in collaboration with Esplanade โ Theatres on the Bay, and included in the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival 2026 โ Closing Curtain by Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF).

Panzetti/Ticconi are no strangers to T.H.E audiences.
After choreographing MALEBRANCHE for T.H.E Dance Company at Elusive in 2024, and later presenting their own work AeReA at contยทact Dance Festival 2025 at ArtScience Museum, the duo now return with a new collaboration, CARILLON.
Performed by the dance artists of T.H.E Dance Company, CARILLON draws inspiration from the delicate mechanics of the music box, unfolding through repetition, rhythm, and revolving patterns that gradually shift between celebration, excess, and collapse.
Known for their striking visual worlds and precise choreographic language, Ginevra Panzetti and Enrico Ticconi have been creating works across dance, performance, and visual art since 2008.
Experience CARILLON this June as part of ElusiveโA Double Bill by T.H.E Dance Company at contยทact Dance Festival.

Meet Kim Bora, Artistic Director of Art Project BORA (South Korea), and choreographer of ๐:๐ณ๐ฐ.
Bora's work often begins somewhere before languageโwithin the body, where sensation, memory, and time overlap. Working across dance, film, and visual arts, Art Project BORA has developed a distinct visual language that leans into ambiguity, allowing images and states to unfold rather than be explained.
Her relationship with T.H.E goes back some time. In 2011, her solo ๐ ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ด๐ฆ๐ญ๐ง was presented at contยทact Dance Festival, and in 2018, she created ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ด๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด with T.H.E Second Company. This year, she returns to collaborate with the main company for the first time.
In ๐:๐ณ๐ฐ, mourning is not told as a story, but felt as it moves through the bodyโtravelling as vibration, carried between bodies, and held in what lingers.

Itโs International Dance Day, so weโre looking back at Elusive in 2024, which brought together works by Kim Jae Duk (South Korea) and Panzetti / Ticconi (Italy/Germany), who return again this year.
In Elusive, international perspectives intertwine with the visceral physicality of our T.H.E Dance Company dance artists. This year continues that conversation, with Panzetti / Ticconi working with rhythm, repetition, and form, alongside Art Project BORA (South Korea), exploring vibration, sensation, and the body in flux.
Donโt miss what this yearโs Elusive has in store!
