Too many collaborations fail not because people lack capacity but because expectations were never clearly defined from the start.
When roles are assumed instead of discussed, when strengths are overlooked and boundaries are blurred, even the best ideas become heavy to carry.
And this isn’t just about organisations. It applies to partnerships, teams, friendships, even family.
Recent conversations around the transnational education partnership between the University of Dundee and Unilag reminded me of something simple:
Good intentions are not enough.
Structure matters.
Clarity matters.
Purpose matters.
The most impactful partnerships I’ve seen are built on:
• Mutual respect, not convenience
• Recognition of strengths on both sides
• Honest conversations about what each person brings to the table
Equitable partnership isn’t a buzzword but a deliberate choice in how value and power are shared and voices are heard.
The earlier clarity is established, the lighter the collaboration feels.
So here’s the real question:
Are your current partnerships built on assumptions — or alignment?
I’m immensely grateful for rooms that don’t just inspire, but also stretch my thinking.
And for conversations that stay with you long after the microphones are turned off.
One of such conversations will continue at the upcoming conference themed “Global Education and the Future of Africa”, convened by @theprinxlouis this May.
If you’re in this space, it’s definitely one to be part of.
NEXT SESSION:
Hi eveeyone, meet aunty @thehalima.a
💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼
We only just met her, well, some.of us.
And we love her.
What we learned will.cost much outside.
But she taught our minds with what we cannot buy.
Kingdom royalty and Etiquette
we are truly grateful.
We pray that God bless you in a royal way in Jesus name.
Amen.
thank you aunty Halima.❤️❤️❤️
We took notes.
We will.share them after becoming😄😄
We love you.
As humans, when we’re used to doing things a certain way, we start to believe that’s the only way.
So when our Agent Appreciation Event had no slides and no presentations.
Just… Sip & Paint
The confusion was real 😂
“Are we in the right place?”
But once everyone settled in?
Laughter, creativity, and good vibes with a hint of healthy competition.
And it made us realise that sometimes, we question change before we even give ourselves the chance to enjoy it.
Maybe not everything needs a slide deck… sometimes, people just need to be appreciated.
Appreciate someone today and everyday. It goes a long way ❤️
People are always watching, even when you think no one is.
Late last year, I received a call from @femibricks , someone I knew from my home church.
I thought it would be a casual hello…But he asked me to facilitate a session at ConPlan Construct Limited’s Annual Training Programme, an organisation he leads.
That moment reminded me, your work doesn’t go unnoticed, even when you’re quietly building, learning, or serving behind the scenes.
This was my first training for a construction company.
My session?
“Etiquette as a Tool to Shift Your Mindset for Personal and Corporate Branding.”
What made this experience meaningful wasn’t only the opportunity, but the process itself.
Before stepping into the room, I took the time to understand ConPlan’s vision, mission, and values. Because training goes beyond sharing your story, it’s about helping others strengthen theirs.
I truly enjoyed the session, from the warm welcome, to the hospitality and openness of the team, everything reflected intentional leadership and a genuine desire for sustained growth.
I’m grateful to God for this opportunity, to @femibricks and his team for trusting me, and for the door this opened into a new sector.
Takeaway:
🔸Don’t sit on your work.
🔸Don’t downplay past experiences.
🔸And never assume no one is watching.
They are.
Equality didn’t start in boardrooms.
Justice didn’t start in policy. Action didn’t start in activism.
It started at the Cross, and Jesus embodied it!
The theme for International Women’s Day 2026 is Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.
However, before this was a theme, it was a Kingdom pattern.
When I read Scripture, I see a Jesus who consistently restored dignity to women long before panels, policies or hashtags.
Look at His lineage in the Gospel of Matthew.
Tamar — denied justice and nearly condemned.
Rahab — defined and labelled by her past.
Ruth — a foreign widow surviving loss.
Bathsheba — caught in scandal.
Mary — young, misunderstood, and talked about.
Not perfect. Not polished. But chosen.
God didn’t erase their history. He redeemed it and wove them into the lineage of Christ.
And when Jesus met the Samaritan woman in the Gospel of John 4, He broke gender, ethnic, and moral barriers, and entrusted her with revelation.
That is Rights. That is Justice. That is Action.
“Give to Gain” is more than a campaign, it has always been a Kingdom principle.
What we pour into women, God multiplies across generations.
So, if you feel overlooked, disqualified, or behind, hear this clearly…God does not cancel women with complicated stories. He crowns them with purpose.
Here’s the question:
Do you see yourself as chosen, or are you still letting your past speak louder than God’s promise?!
Happy International Women’s Day 🎊🎊

When does it become too late to say “Happy New Year”?
Does March still make the cut? 😅
Happy New Year 🎉🎉
The words anchoring my heart for 2026 came from my all-time favourite “Restaurant” — The Word (and through my home church). 😇
Because truly, man shall not live by bread alone.
We are fed by more than what is physical.
We are sustained by what is spiritual… by vision, by conviction, by divine direction.
These are the words carrying me this year:
🔸Ebenezer - Divine help and intervention has already been provided for you and me.
🔸Rehoboth - There is more than enough room for us to expand without striving, opposition &
contention.
🔸Divine Settlement - We will experience completion and perfection that comes with being
established and strengthened.
Don’t rush to shout “Amen!” 😄
Make sure you agree with the process attached to the promise. IYKYK.
Alignment first. Excitement after.
Let 2026 be about alignment, intentional expansion and becoming.
May we build with clarity, expand with grace, and move with God’s divine will and timing.
Let the year begin — Aligned.
We’ve most likely heard the saying, “You are what you eat.”
The same applies to our minds and spirits.
You are shaped by what you consume…the books you read, the movies you watch, the music you listen to, the people you keep, and the conversations you entertain.
Thank You, Lord, for leading me to a place, and a people, where my spirit is truly nourished 🙏🏽✨
“Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].”
Philippians 4:8 AMP
Seeing how far I’ve come, from that girl who would always hide to now holding meaningful conversations with people I deeply respect in the industry, has been one of my biggest highlights of 2025 ✨
And these conversations aren’t just because of their titles, but because of the incredible work they’ve done and what they stand for.
I remember when I used to run from certain rooms, but by God’s grace, I’ve learned to remind myself that I deserve to be there. I belong in those conversations.
Watching the University of Dundee doggedly follow through with its vision to partner with the University of Lagos, giving students the chance to earn two degrees from two reputable universities across continents, has been such an inspiration.
And I’m so grateful for the privilege to play a part in the success of that program’s launch.
It’s yet another reminder that the sky isn’t our limit… It’s our foundation.
Ever looked ahead at your to-do list and felt your heart race a little? 🫣
That was me in September looking at October — full of plans, deadlines, travels and commitments.
But God reminded me:
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
And now that it’s the last day of the month, I can boldly testify that I was marvellously helped by God 🥹
I’m excited for November because it’s a special month 🤭
