Last month, The Nudge hosted something a little different, Do Not Disturb.
It was a dopamine reset dinner that asked attendees to slow down, put away their phones (literally) and be fully present in the moment. No notifications. No distractions. Just conversation, creativity, and connection.
It was held at the beautiful cafe and event space, The Hackney - an East London gem, tucked away near Cambridge Heath Station.
Ex-Hausu chef, Ella Williams designed an incredible, Caribbean inspired feast and singers India & Bayley from the band XANADU filled the space with soulful sounds.
It was an evening to remember and one we’ll be recreating again soon.

Temporarily, and for a good reason: we’re holding a new supperclub series called Do Not Disturb: A Dopamine Reset Dinner - a fully offline evening where devices go into signal-blocking pouches and you’re left with the rather radical circa-2000-ish activities of, you know, talking to people, listening to live music, and eating great food. Insane, we know.
The debut lands on March 26th at The Hackney. You’ll start with a cocktail & live music, before sitting down to a candlelit 3-course feast from chef Ella Williams (ex-Cafe Murano, Mountain, Hausu) with wine pairings throughout.
No notifications, no texting, no scrolling, no photographing the plate mid-conversation. Just good old fashioned fun.

In collaboration with @blackdiamondpr and @destination_toronto the event celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving in true Friendsgiving style. Guests enjoyed an all plant-based menu curated and hosted by the award-winning creator @sepps inspired by his recent trip to Toronto, one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world.
The evening captured everything we love about bringing people together: incredible food, conversation, and a shared passion for stories that connect us across continents. ❤️
