Fuku cause Fuk U (フク, also meaning fortune) is a permanently grumpy cat. They’re not here to fake a smile or spread “good vibes only”—they’re here to flip the bird at almost everything, everyone and be unapologetically moody.
Mame (マメ, meaning bean) is Fuku’s quiet companion. Calm, indifferent, and completely unbothered. They’re not trying to fix anything—they just show up, hold space, and exist with you.
Together, they embody what this brand is all about: embracing the bad days, the blah moods, the “don’t talk to me” energy.
Whether you see them as besties or something more, they’re here to make you feel seen in your most honest moments.

Been clearing my room to make space for 2026 and been reflecting on my journey as a vendor. Started this journey in 2016 and wow how far this side hustle can come. This year has been so fulfilling building The Grump Studio. I met so many creators, befriended fellow boothers, and connected with amazing customers! I can’t wait to bring you more new stuff next year—starting with monthly snail mails. I’ll be discontinuing the gacha cats to focus on other cats, animals, fun activities, and clay works.
Adding up all my earnings from this year… roughly $7,000! Absolutely crazy for my first year of boothing under this brand. I couldn’t have done it without your support.
Next year, I’ll be back to full-time work and will booth less often, but I’ll still be creating new works—for you and for me. Thank you for growing with me, and I hope Fuku, Mame, and the grumps have been keeping you company through the good days and bad.

wrapping up @tiftaiwan last weekend. surreal that i got to booth overseas for the first time and was really glad i got to meet so many other amazing creators from different countries 🥹 will do a review later on for all the booths ive been at for the second half if the year to wrap up 2025!
I’ve been experimenting with closed forms recently to form cute little lidded jar/dish idk anymore. And they turned out nice until I trimmed the lids abit too much but still I wanted to try to follow through with the project. So I will be bringing these babies to @mercuryfestsg tomorrow for adoption!
I have also created a little grumpy army of tomatoes each one has its own character if you would like a little companion on your desk.
