A proper week of good things ahead here at The GrowFoward Project... Yoga, meditation, choir, reclaiming the orchard, the first session of making paper yarn with Clare, and a beautiful herbal workshop with Anoushka on Saturday — plus the Crafty Cafe open every day from 9 to 4. Full line-up below...
Four very different ways to look after yourself, all under one roof. Every week here at The GrowForward Project we host Chair Yoga (Tuesdays, 5.30pm) for gentle movement that meets you where you are, Somatic Yoga (Tuesdays, 7pm) for slowing down and listening inward, both with @westernwellbeing . Yoga for Cancer with @lornamayloves (Thursdays, 9.30am) for compassionate, supported practice, and Buddhist Meditation (Wednesdays, 6.30pm) with our own Danny for a little quiet in the middle of the week. Whatever your body and mind are asking for this week, there's likely a class with your name on it. Drop us a message if you'd like to know more or book in.
Anoushka is back for her third workshop with us, and we couldn't be more pleased about it. On Saturday 16th May, 2–4pm, @wild_side_wonders presents Herbal Allies for Emotional Wellbeing — a beautiful afternoon outdoors learning how to draw on nature, recognise and use 12 different herbs and plants, and gather simple practices that help you feel a little more grounded when life gets noisy. You'll head home with a nourishing tea blend and full workshop notes to keep. £20, all materials included, no experience needed. Book via the link on the poster — these tend to fill up.
Did you know you can support The GrowForward Project just by doing your normal online shopping? We're part of easyfundraising — a lovely free service that lets you raise donations for us at no extra cost to you, simply by shopping with brands you already use (Tesco, Amazon, M&S, John Lewis and around 8,000 others). It takes about a minute to sign up as a supporter, and from then on it does the work in the background. Even better: this May, Tesco and easyfundraising are giving away £1,000 bonuses to five lucky community organisations — and every Tesco or F&F shop our supporters do via easyfundraising puts us in the running. If you fancy supporting us this way, here's our page: .uk/causes/the-growforward-project/
We've been quietly cooking this one up for a while, and we're so glad it's nearly here. Sundown Songs is our brand new acoustic night, held live under the arches in our beautiful garden at The GrowForward Project — and it all kicks off on Friday 29th May at 7pm with the local legend @smalltownjones ! Expect beautiful music, golden hour in a gorgeous setting, and the kind of evening you'll want to make a regular thing. Free entry, donations welcome, food and drink sorted, all ages welcome. Drop a comment to let us know you'll be there.
