'I have never, ever would have imagined me preaching in church on Sunday. But it's happening!' Meet Katie, one of our CCX Estate Apprentices. We think her journey is inspirational - from being in recovery from addiction, to arriving at a church in Bow, East London, to becoming a leader in her community. It's a story we should all pay attention to, an example of the leaders God calls to take a role in his Church, but who are often overlooked. Find out more about Katie's journey and the CCX Estate Apprenticeship Scheme on CCX.org.uk, or send us a DM to ask us more about it.

'You don't sprinkle yeast on top of dough and hope for the best. It has to be kneaded through. Pressed deep. Worked into the structure... That is how the Kingdom grows. Not imposed from the outside. Not franchised from another context. But rising from within a people and a place.' You can watch Mark Tate's fantastic talk from Multiply Estates Mission 2026 over on CCX.org.uk

Developing servant-hearted leaders is an important aspect of discipleship, encouraging others to grow in prayer, or serving on a team, or in a specific role. When we are nurturing and encouraging others in our church we need to take them on a journey rather than throwing them in at the deep end. A simple tool that can help us frame this is the Leadership Square. It’s a four-stage process that’s been developed over many years by different people. It can help us analyse where people are at on a journey of leadership development. For more tools, resources and ideas like this, talk to CCX about the Grow Course. Send us a DM or visit our website today.

A leader’s map is a tool that can help us think and pray about the unexplored area ahead of our church in its journey of growth. It’s everchanging, moving as we grow. We can use it as you pray and discern what God is doing around us, navigating the season we're in with an eye on working towards an intentional future. The Grow Course helps churches grow by being intentional about their health, depth and impact - with resources like the leader's map, helping us to look at the 'why and how' of each church. Why was your church started or built in the first place? Why is it still there? What is its function? What is the vision and culture? Send us a message if you'd like to know more about the Grow Course, or visit our website today.

The Bible talks about how important families are in the nurturing of faith. However, this picture of family is not the ‘2.4 perfect family’ we may think of, but in the first century, this would be referring to the wider family group, mums, dads, aunties, uncles, cousins, and the wider community. Perhaps hundreds of people will make up a community that will share their lives and faith with all generations. By focusing on how we can nurture and share faith with children and young people in our church community and equipping each home, we will be able to grow our own faith and that of our young people. The Grow Course helps churches grow by being intentional about their health, depth and impact - with lessons like this one from Sam Donoghue, Head of Children & Youth Ministry Support for the Diocese of London. Send us a message if you'd like to know more about the Grow Course, or visit our website today.

Throughout Holy Week we'll be praying for the new church plants that we've had the honour of journeying with recently. We can't wait to hear the stories of the new people they'll be reaching and forming community with, declaring the good news of Easter and the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The Plant Course equips and prepares church planting teams in the why, what and how of starting a new church community. If you believe you're being called to plant something new to reach new people, we'd love to support you. Contact us at [email protected] or drop us a direct message.
