I love spending time in the gym. Not only for my physical health but probably more importantly, my mental health. As soon as you walk into @risegym you are greeted with a warm and friendly smile and an atmosphere that inspires you to do your best workout. It lifts your mood and pushes you to work that little bit extra for the next hour or so. The greatest way to start your day. But, recently they’ve added a new recovery Spa. A Himalayan Salt Bath, L.E.D recovery Sauna, steam rooms, Wim Hoff inspired ice baths and a comfortable chilled area. The perfect way to wind down after a gruelling workout. If you live in the area, I really couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. If Carlsberg did gyms….
LETS DO SOMETHING BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!!! It’s 2025 and we are heading for a catastrophe. We are becoming one of the most Unfit and Obese nations in the world. Only a few decades ago did this “epidemic” start to rear its ugly head. If you look at videos of people back in the 70’s 80’s and even the 90’s, you will notice that most people were in pretty good shape. This is not about preaching. This comes from a place of concern. I’m an older Daddy in his mid 50’s, with 2 very young boys and there is nothing I want more in the world than to see them for another 30 years. I feel it’s my duty to look after myself not just because of my own physical and mental health but they deserve to have their Daddy look after them and guide them in the right direction. Everywhere we look there are fast food shops, bakeries, vape shops etc, etc, etc. These companies don’t care about your welfare. They don’t see the repercussions. They don’t see the hardship and struggles we constantly have with our health. All they see is the money we give them. Im going to start posting as many videos as possible to inspire everyone to try and reach for a healthier life. It can be done with a change of thinking. FEED YOUR BODY “NOT” YOUR TASTEBUDS. Wanted to post this clip that was sent to me recently, to remember the life of a genuine, kind and funny man. This is a scene from a pilot that Paul Danan tried to get off the ground, but it was never given a chance. Completely improvised. In today’s world we are surrounded by far too many people that lack compassion, integrity, kindness, empathy, and by far the greatest quality, TRUTH. When someone passes away in your life that made you smile every time you were in their presence, then a piece of you drifts away with them. I am sick to death of the selfish, egotistical, narcissistic nature that we are surrounded by, especially from those in the public eye that you see from day to day. Those who have no interest in your feelings or any compassion in your mental and physical health. Watching this clip has brought back fond memories of a man who just wanted to live and be loved. He was a naturally funny man who had me in stitches with his outrageous ideas. This clip is a classic example of his personality. I had to bite my tongue to not laugh and by the end, I just couldn’t hold it in. We all have faults and we are all led down garden paths. Paul would’ve been the first to admit he had flaws and demons. Things that, unfortunately, eventually took hold of his life for good. But, he had goodness in his heart and that resonates with me more than anything. I am drawn to people that have truth, honesty and love. And I was drawn to this man from day one. I wasn’t one of his closest friends and I didn’t speak to him very often. But, you know you are fond of someone when you can just catch up and start where you left off. This video has left me melancholic this morning. But please have a look and appreciate Paul Danan. 🙏❤️
I’ve decided to start sharing some very important health tips that have kept me in a physical shape that I’m proud of and worked so hard to maintain. Being nearly 56 and an older Daddy to my beautiful boys, it means so much to me to keep myself mentally and physically healthy, so I can see these little 2 angels grow up. Every week I’ll be posting all the things I do to take good care of myself. Whether you’re in full time employment, with little chance to hit the gym. Or whether you’re a stay at home parent, I can probably advise in some way to attain the physicality and well being that you want to achieve. For me, I get an amazing sense of joy when I feel I can really help people with their health.
