PURPOSE ✊🏾🍉 🌎🌱
Can you imagine if all organizations fighting for racial, economic, climate, and gender justice came together for a General Strike until a list of demands were met?
Billionaires and their puppet politicians have rigged our economy and our democracy to serve the rich, while working people, people-of-color, and the planet are pushed toward collapse. Voting and protesting are no longer enough— we must strike to hit them where it hurts.

PROCESS 📝📆
General Strikes work because they show those in charge that regular people make the country function. Workers can pull the plug on the entire system until our needs are met. Research shows we need 3.5% of the population—about 11 million Americans—to succeed.
📈 The Strike Card tracks our progress so we all know when it’s time to strike: GeneralStrikeUS.com/strikecard
✊🏽 Any organization can track Strike Commits and share their count:

🗣️ Or publicly voice their support for a General Strike: GeneralStrikeUS.com/openletter
PARTICIPATION 🗣️
We believe we are strongest when authority is distributed throughout our network of unpaid volunteers, not concentrated amongst a select few. No one needs to ask permission to participate, but we have resources prepared for those that prefer more structured involvement.

Feeding The Fight is about building the kind of infrastructure our people actually survive off of not just in crisis but every day. It’s how we turn solidarity into something material like food, care, skills, knowledge and coordination rooted in our communities.
If you’re interested in learning more, watch the recording of our Feeding The Fight presentation to get the full breakdown of the project and how it works.
Next step: register your local Feeding The Fight so your community can plug into the network and begin building on the ground.
After registering, you’ll receive the toolkit to help you get started, along with support from our Feeding The Fight team as you build locally.

They told us to vote harder while they poisoned the water, militarized the police, extracted the land, displaced our people and called survival a privilege.
Every election cycle they promise reform while the same system protects profit, property, empire and exploitation.
If we know this system was designed to extract and oppress. How much longer are we willing to keep feeding it with our labor, obedience, silence and participation?
A revolutionary general strike is not just refusing work. It is refusing the legitimacy of a system that survives by consuming us.
It is workers, tenants, students, organizers, and communities withdrawing cooperation and building power together.
Feeding each other. Defending each other. Sustaining each other. Organizing beyond the limits they set for us!
The people create the wealth. The people keep society running. And when the people move together empires shake.

Cooperatives bolster economic democracy by empowering workers to become worker-owners. Under capitalism and its most common business structures, the owners who own a corporation extract the surplus value created by the workers, often without actually doing any work other than owning the company.
Cooperatives are radically different from this, in that it is the very workers who make the company run who actually own a partial stake in the company, and thus receive part of the profits, along with all of the other worker-owners. Workers cooperatives are a relatively rare form of business structure in the US today, but other regions in the world such as Catalonia have much more robust workers cooperative networks.
Imagine a world where workers actually get to see the benefits of their hard labor and help collectively make decisions that impact their workplace and the conditions they encounter while working there.
Supporting the creation of more workers cooperatives increases our collective freedom and helps greater and greater numbers of workers opt out of the extreme exploitation they experience under traditional capitalist business models.
Do you know of any workers cooperatives in your area? Tag them in the comments! Let’s support our workers cooperatives! 💞💞🙌🙌

Join us virtually this Wednesday at for an Elements of Mutual Aid (Chapter 1) watch party on Jitsi at 7:30pm. There are two parts out with two more on the way May 15th and May 22nd. The series features 15 different collective organizing groups across North America and explores the ins and outs of mutual aid in different forms, including groups based right here in Michigan.
What is mutual aid? What does mutual aid look like in your neighborhood? What works, what doesn’t? What can we do better in our own collective organizing? Sharing these ideas with each other will allow better work and collaboration to take place.
The first part of the documentary is about an hour long and we will follow it up with some guided questions and the sharing of our own experiences for those who are comfortable. All are welcome to join!
Know someone who might be interested? Tag them below or bring them along! #mutualaid #flint #geneseecounty #generalstrike #watchparty
These slides break down the tools GSUS uses in Phase 1 to build real community infrastructure, so local organizing becomes coordinated capacity for Phase 2 action.
Feeding The Fight is also a key part of that process it’s where these tools get put into practice on the ground. It turns strategy into material support systems, strengthens local networks and helps align everyday community work with a broader framework of collective power building. If you’re ready to plug in, connect with a GSUS chapter near you or reach out to get involved.
