📌 We recently collaborated on a post in solidarity with students at Science Park High School. Since then, we have confirmed there is no skirt ban at Science Park.
The existing policy addresses skirt length only and is the same as the district policy. It has not changed.
We commend the students who showed up for their peers in times of need. Solidarity matters. Accuracy matter, too.
When students stand together and adults amplify their actions truthfully, there is a path forward.

Daphne, 16, and Zainabou, 17, were among the youth who knocked on 3000 doors across mid February and March.
They'll also be casting their ballot in Newark School Board Elections, this Tuesday and yes, they'll be riding Youth Power Action Coalition buses for free to their assigned polling location.
They have had many civic experiences via Youth Power Action Coalition, rain or shine they have knocked. Rain or shine, they have shown up for community. Will you?

On April 21, Newark votes for its School Board, and for the second year in a row, 16 and 17 year olds can cast a ballot too. This is YOUR schools. YOUR future. YOUR voice.
