Crème Brûlée Grapefruit Recipe:Ingredients:1 grapefruit, halved6 tbsp vanilla bean sugar (3 tbsp per half)Add vanilla bean & pinch of cardamom into sugar if desiredOptional toppings: whipped cream, pastry cream, yogurt & granola, maple syrup, or pomegranate seeds.Instructions:1. Preheat your oven to High Broil (or use a kitchen torch).2. Cut the grapefruit in half, then use a knife to score the triangular segments inside each half. This makes it easier to scoop when serving.3. Firmly & thoroughly pat the grapefruit dry, wet fruit / sugar will prevent sugar from caramelizing.4. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of vanilla bean sugar on each half. (The more sugar, the better the crackly topping!)5. Broil for 3+ minutes, until the sugar is bubbling.6. Serve warm or chilled with your favorite toppings.#dessert #recipe #crèmebrûlée #fruitdessert #postholiday
