According to recent reports, the literacy rate for women in Pakistan is approximately 48%, which is considerably lower than that of men, who have a literacy rate of about 71%.
There’s a sense of peace and pride in being part of something with a meaningful objective. Even the smallest contribution can make a difference. I feel lucky to be part of this campaign.

Maybe we shouldn’t be called the Art Department… maybe Firefighters would be more accurate. First time building a set for a TV show — Vaseline Ghabga. Like every first time, it came with its fair share of chaos and last-minute surprises.
Yet somehow, by the grace of Allah, we found the strength to pull it together and deliver the set ready to shoot in record time. But the real backbone of it all was the team — the people who keep showing up, solving problems, lifting walls, fixing things that didn’t even exist an hour before. None of this happens without them.
Another challenge taken. Another fire put out.
Now the only question is… why do I keep doing this to myself?
Someone please remind me next time.

Some of the most important details on a film set… are never planned.
The signature cushion?
Didn’t exist until a few hours before the shoot. Found. Swarovski gems. Improvised like crazy.
Built it just in time for camera.
Then 3 hours before prep — the boat flowers changed colour.
Cue the art department sprint across the city to find the new shade.
And the coloured pearls we made… Desert Sand; Let’s just say — that story deserves its own post.
Film sets are chaos.
Ideas change.
Details evolve.
Panic is normal.
But somehow…
the frame always finds its magic.
And this time — we pulled it off.
