Michael Jackson's second Toronto show was on August 5, 1981, when the Triumph tour rolled into Maple Leaf Gardens for 16,000 fans. The opener was Stacy Lattisaw. Who was there?! đŸĒŠ #HIStory #michaeljackson

Michael Jackson's first Toronto show was in August 1971, when Jackson Five fever arrived in Canada. There's a scene from 'Michael' that shows what these Exhibition and County Fair shows were like. The Commodores were the openers. Imagine, Lionel and Michael for $4 in 1971. No photos of this show seem to exist, so if you have one please send along! #HIStory

Who else used to walk up that staircase? Who remembers the TV sets on the Reverb bar? What a time! 📷 @portraits_of_queen_west 2006

A hard ticket, mid-decade concert retrospective. Very grateful to all the great artists, venues, and promoters who've obliged me to so many incredible shows over the years. Drop a comment if you went to any of these! đŸŽĢ

Some clips from the magnificent Triumph reunion show last Friday at Scotiabank Arena. Joined by Phil X from Bon Jovi, it was awesome to see Canadian rock royalty after a 25-year hiatus. The boys didn't lose a beat, and Rik Emmett reminded us why he's one of the great Canadian guitar virtuosos. Who was there? 🎸 🇨đŸ‡Ļ

Today on Earth Day, hundreds of thousands of gallons of water were wasted to destroy the Iceman sculpture created by our own native son, and Toronto's biggest ambassador. The mayor could've intervened to let it live but of course didn't. What do you think? 🤔

It's a shame that U of T and the City couldn't preserve this marvel of brutalist architecture. The planetarium is imprinted in our memory, and could have been revitalized to be a space for entertainment, education and the wonders of the cosmos. But instead in true Toronto fashion, they take the wrecking ball to our city's landmark structures 😞 Who saw Laser Floyd here?

Once upon a time an aspiring DJ named Chris Sheppard started promoting parties under the name PM Productions. And 40 years ago today he brought a new rap group from NYC, the Beastie Boys to Toronto for a gig at a club called The Copa in Yorkville - April 8, 1986 ⚥ī¸
