After 8 and half years, two tests and a few hundred pounds Debs has finally got her Naturalisation. She’s the second Brit in the family, after baby baker 👶🏻
This country has given us so much, has open its doors with wide open arms and it’s our duty to give back to our community. I will never cease to thank you all, be grateful for every single door and kind gesture of people from Manchester. This has been my home for a long time, but now I belong.
And my message to any of you starting over today, moving countries, opening a business, building a family… don’t give up!!! Eventually you can succeed, and when this day come, you’ll be f***ing proud of yourself 🫶❤️

A festival dedicated to all things pistachio is officially back in Manchester this weekend.
And nowhere does pistachio quite like @theflatbaker , as we know.
Debs and her team have once again worked up a full menu of pistachio inspired bakes, from classic filled croissants to Basque cheesecakes, savoury bakes, and even drinks. 🥐
There are vegan maritozzi, and gluten free brownies too, so no one has to miss out on the bakery event of the year.

5 years has passed so FAST!
We came form nothing to build an incredible community in Ancoats.
We always knew this business wouldn’t be just a way to make money. It means everything for us: this is where we learn, where we grew as humans, where we were able to provide and grow our family, give work opportunities to other immigrants like us, build a community, have a space where families, friends, sports people, where everyone is welcome and will always be.
We can’t thank you enough!!!
