Still into this whole getting together in person thing.
DJ’d the historic El Rey Theatre here in Los Angeles in April for Robin and Sam’s Mature Rager. I easily clocked 50 “WOW”s that night.
The couple are comedy writers, so the night felt like the taping of an episode of SNL, variety show meets love story. Welcomed by originally designed period correct posters featuring late-in-life couples. The clever custom marquee. The well crafted speeches (I have seen hundreds at this point, these were on another level). Live musical performances from friends. We danced. Laughed hard. A piano bar on the stage closed it out. And perhaps the most mind blowing moment was when a trio of musicians performed a song using a recording of Robin singing in her sleep (WTF).
My friend and party planner extraordinaire @partycrushevents does what she always does and dialed in every detail and assembled a team of killers to bring her clients’ vision to life and this one was something else. Top 10, no doubt.

The highest I’ve been since I stopped smoking weed 5 years ago.
Haven’t DJ’d back to back to back in a while…people asked how I felt when I returned, and honestly? More alive than I have in a while. I forgot how fulfilling DJing can be (for both me and the crowd), the places it takes you and the people it connects you with. I feel like people need it right now, that exchange and release of energy that happens with a room full of humans dancing, sweating and being in the moment. What a privilege to walk into a room and have the pressure to deliver for a crowd ready to go all in.
Might have to keep this going a little while longer.

This smile kind of sums up how it felt to be in Stockholm recently for what was billed as THE FINAL DANCE for @senorantonia after a decade of parties for @wayupnorth across Europe.
Being there with so many homies and a room full of people ready to have a good time also reminded me how much I still love this shit. When it’s right it’s right.
