Love Farah Ossouli, 1999 @farah_ossouli_official In this vertical composition, Farah Ossouli revisits the language of Persian miniature through a contemporary lens. The intimate scale and elongated format recall manuscript margins, while the layered gouache and collage introduce a modern sensibility. Love here is neither dramatic nor declarative. It is quiet, restrained, and deeply internal. Gouache and paper collage on paper 49 × 18 cm The Farjam Collection Save this work to return to its details. #FarahOssouli #ContemporaryIranianArt #PersianMiniature #WomenInArt #thefarjamcollection

Ramadan Kareem | رمضان كريم As the holy month begins, we reflect on the spirit of devotion, contemplation, and generosity that defines Ramadan. This Anatolian sajjada (prayer carpet), with its architectural mihrab design and luminous red field, evokes the sacred space of prayer — a reminder of stillness, humility, and faith. May this blessed month bring peace to your heart, light to your home, and grace to your days. — Coupled-column sajjada carpet Central or West Anatolia, late 17th–18th century The Farjam Collection #RamadanKareem #Ramadan2026 #IslamicArt #PrayerCarpet #AnatolianCarpet

Cylindrical Casket Mosul, early 13th century Brass inlaid with silver Produced in the celebrated workshops of Mosul at a time when inlaid brass rivaled gold and silver in prestige, this casket embodies the technical and aesthetic refinement of medieval Islamic metalwork. Bands of elongated naskh inscription encircle the body, offering benedictory wishes for glory, prosperity, and long life, set against dense vegetal scrolls and interlaced medallions. The remarkable survival of its silver inlay testifies to both craftsmanship and careful preservation across eight centuries. Abdulnasser Gharem @abdulnassergharem Message (Messenger), 2010 Installation, wood and copper Conceived as a meditation on communication, authority, and belief, Message (Messenger) transforms the architectural form of a mosque dome into a suspended, destabilized structure. Beneath it, a white dove—both fragile and resolute—becomes the bearer of meaning, evoking revelation, transmission, and the vulnerability of truth as it moves between sender and receiver. By displacing a sacred form from its fixed function, Gharem invites reflection on how messages are shaped, controlled, delayed, or misunderstood within social, political, and spiritual systems. The work resists certainty, proposing instead a space of pause—where meaning hovers, unfinished, awaiting interpretation. Abdulnasser Gharem @abdulnassergharem Message/Messenger, 2010 Installation of wood, copper, and gold-engraved surface Conceived as a monumental, gilded dome, Message/Messenger draws on the visual language of sacred architecture to reflect on belief, authority, and the fragile act of transmission—how meaning is carried, received, and transformed.
